1. Who we are
Fitscapes (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a pre-launch sports and fitness marketplace operated from India. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how it is stored, and the rights you have over it under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
2. What we store on your device
The entire pre-launch experience runs client-side. We do not create accounts, require you to sign in, or send your activity to any server unless you explicitly place an order or contact us. What lives in your browser’slocalStorage until you clear it:
- Onboarding profile— your goal, height, weight, sport preferences and any name you gave the coach. Stays on your device, feeds the personalised recommendations, and is deleted when you clear browser storage or click “Reset” on the personalisation panel.
- Cart, wishlist and spin-the-wheel discount — the items you saved and the promo code you won. Only sent to a server at the moment you begin checkout.
- Music and sound preferences — whether you muted the floating player and which track you last picked.
We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking. The site uses no third-party analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising SDKs).
3. What we collect when you place an order
Placing an order requires a limited set of information to fulfil it:
- Full name, delivery address, city, state and PIN code.
- Contact phone number and email address.
- Payment method (UPI, card or net banking) — see “How payments work” below.
This information is used to prepare, dispatch, deliver and support that order, to issue an invoice, and to comply with tax and consumer-law record-keeping obligations. We keep it for as long as legally required and no longer.
How payments work
We do not process or store card numbers, UPI IDs, CVV values or bank credentials ourselves. Payment happens on a PCI-compliant gateway (Razorpay or Stripe, depending on your region) whose iframe replaces our checkout at the payment step. What we receive back from the gateway is a payment reference, whether the payment succeeded or failed, and the last four digits of the card (for the invoice). Card and UPI PIN data never touch our infrastructure.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share order data with a small number of vendors strictly to deliver what you ordered:
- The payment gateway (Razorpay or Stripe).
- The logistics partner delivering your order.
- The authorised seller or distributor from whom the item is sourced.
- Government departments where the law requires us to (tax, consumer complaint escalations, court orders).
For products under our “Shop International” pooled pre-order model (Gymshark, YoungLA), your contact details are shared with the sourcing partner in the destination country solely to complete that batch order.
5. Where your data lives
Order data is stored on servers hosted in India by our hosting and database providers. Backups are encrypted at rest. Data associated with international pre-orders may be processed outside India by the sourcing partner in that country; this transfer is limited to the fields needed to fulfil the order.
6. Your rights under DPDPA
You have the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep for legal reasons.
- Withdraw a consent you had previously given.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.
- Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see contact page) or escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Children
The site isn’t designed for users under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data through a purchase, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we do actually changes. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the last change. Material changes will be summarised on the home page or the checkout screen so you can see them before continuing.
